Joel Canning
Following spells with both Watford and QPR as a child, Joel moved into coaching at the age of 16 after sustaining a serious knee injury. Despite further attempts to make it in the pro-game and forging a successful non-league career, Joel has been coaching goalkeepers for over 15 years, spending time working for the FA, Watford FC and Northampton Town. Joel has been running GK Icon Academies centres since September 2016 including GK Icon Aylesbury and Watford. He has a real passion for goalkeeper training as well as inclusion regardless of ability and experience.
