St Albans coach Farhan is a passionate coach who recently graduated from Liverpool John Moores University where he studied his undergraduate (Science and Football, BSc) and postgraduate degrees (Strength and Conditioning, MSc). Farhan’s undergraduate degree is the only football-specific Sport & Exercise Science degree in the UK, whilst in October 2022, he gained his Masters in Strength and Conditioning. During Farhan’s 4 years in Liverpool, he worked as an intern and placement student at three Category 1 academies across the north-west of England where he learned, developed and now possesses key skills and goalkeeping techniques used by elite football clubs to develop youth football players at and to the highest level. Farhan is an avid Sports Scientist and coach who is driven in delivering high-quality sessions to players of all ages, abilities and genders. He prides himself in being a great role model for youth players and is determined to create team cohesion amongst players to support a positive learning environment. He has built-up a strong reputation in getting the most out of players, even in times of difficulty or low motivation, helping players find their love for football again. Being a very analytical individual, Farhan has a great eye for highlighting areas of improvements to players by giving simple, yet critical coaching cues. Farhan has developed the ability to create football-specific drills that target numerous key performance indicators whilst simultaneously maintaining the ‘fun’ element of football. Farhan also takes great interest in using data to make evidence-based decisions when developing players.
